Herald: record label co-owned by WMBR (former WMWM) DJ Bob Dubrow

http://theedge.bostonherald.com/musicNews/view.bg?articleid=174311

"Neither disc jockey Bob Dubrow nor engineer Andy Hong had expectations of a 10-year partnership when they released a compilation of performances from their WMBR radio show, “Pipeline!,” in March of 1996...One decade and another 34 records later, Kimchee is holding two anniversary shows, the first tonight at the Middle East and the second next Friday at T.T. the Bear’s Place."

Dubrow was a local music DJ at WMWM before moving to WMBR.

Dubrow was a local music DJ at WMWM before moving to WMBR.

Dubrow stepped down as host of WMBR's local live music show "Pipeline" a few years ago, and moved to hosting the weekday "Lost & Found" 60's/70's obscure music show 12 noon - 2 PM on alternating bi-weekly Mondays.

Since "Lost & Found" generally doesn't play music any newer than approximately 30 years ago, Bob does not play any music by artists on his own record label on the air (which would be a conflict of interest if he did).

"Pipeline" with host Jeff Breeze continues on WMBR with live local music every Tuesday evening 8-10 PM.

Bob is a good guy and puts out good stuff. I went to the five year anniversary show and it was a blast.

I don't know if he's still on, but one of my previous post office supervisors, Bob Roffi, was on Lost and Found for awhile.

Bob Roffi stepped down as a regular host on "Lost & Found" a couple of years ago, but he may still fill in occasionally. He also does his own open-formatted show alternating Wednesdays 4-5:30 PM.
