from the posts a couple months ago.....I was sure that race was over and Wolf won goin away. I have no dog in this fight. I just thought the celebration was a bit premature. What about VBZ vs KRR? 12+ gap is big, but I hear $$$ demos ....not so much. I imagine C&C kill JB&B. Are they on the way to becoming the next Murphy? 10 years already.......CC's Kiss didnt bite much from KZL, but Jamz is down. SJS and ZTK combine for almost 7.0. MAG go the X-mas bump. oh, and the fall book started on 9/18. toby was fired in october, according to the w-s journal (that's a newspaper, which is a periodical published daily chronicling news items). so, your above assertion is incorrect (about the 1st week). i'll try to teach you google next week if i have time.

ummm...wasn't Tobie there when TQR began their slide the last couple years?? I'd bet the rating decrease had more to do with juggling talent in and out of the station in other dayparts and knee jerk reactions to WPAW thna anything "Aunt Eloise" did or coulda done

I think the press over firing Toby peaked curiosity and resulted in increased listening to WTQR to see what was going to happen. That just seems logical to me. Lots of people were talking about it and that always stimulates ratings. Doesn't mean those ratings will continue in the next book, but I'm sure it gave the folks at WTQR a lift.

Nobody gave a "flip" about "Toby"..Nobody even knew who Toby was ..Eloise was a has been and TQR was on it's way down after Big Paul died. Ya all say the PAW is the new messiah, but just think how many others have tried country and failed! I've been in and out of this market for years and tried country myself. It Failed. When it comes down to it, there is just too many damn stations competing for a piece of the pie and it's just not there. Not in this economy especially. God it was hard enough back in the heyday of WTOB/WAIR/WCOG and the rest of the great old AM'ers.. And then along comes the FM'ers.. BIG APE!
