I'm totally convinced the Al Walser nomination is a prank. His song was released a week before the voting was closed out for the nominations. His video looks like a parody onto itself and dance music.

We can debate whether the Grammy's are a joke or not all day long, but at least this high profile music awards show finally has EDM categories. It will be interesting to see if any of the EDM categories get presented during the actual telecast, though. It would certainly lend some additional exposure to the genre.

Last year seemed to be EDM's big breakthrough year, with Skrillex receiving a Best New Artist nomination. Its a shame that no EDM artist received a similar nod this year.
