Here We Go Again: KUSF Partisans Try Another Block of KOSC Sale

The Friends of KUSF group and listener Ted Hudacko have filed Applications for Review with the FCC, claiming that the consent decree that allowed the sale of the former KUSF (now KOSC) from the USF to Classical Public Radio Network did not address many of the issues raised in their respective Petitions to Deny and that the Commission's Media Bureau meetings with the USF and CPRN setting up the compromise that fined both parties $50,000 for alleged irregularities was "secret and unlawful" (from pubcaster-hating, college radio-loving Radio Survivor, whose position in the whole matter is very pro-KUSF):

Give it up, guys (and some of you thought I was wrong in that the Friends were going try to create more mischief).

Wow...so they're telling the FCC that their meeting was "unlawful?" That's not a way to win support with the FCC. Then again...

Give it up folks. It's a done deal. Be happy with an Internet station. You have more listeners that way instead of the 18 you used to have at 90.3

What FCC Violation did KDFC inc Do? This is Dumb USF sold KUSF to KDFC Radio Inc aka USC because USF had to balance the Budget.

These people need to realize that the old KUSF is not coming back, and move on with their lives.

Even if the sale is blocked, there's nothing that compels the USF admin. to resume the alumni playground. They could put on a feed of Sacred Heart Radio and be done with it.

It's to the Jebbies' credit that they didn't turn KUSF over to Sacred Heart as they well could have done. Being the rebels of the Catholic church they had been reined in by Rome on many occasions, such as being told not to allow the gay Catholic group, Dignity, to meet on campus. USF has had its run-ins with church hierarchy, and they could have appeased Rome by letting Sacred Heart have the station. Instead they sold it to a cultural institution and allowed a well-loved format to continue in the Bay Area.
