Whoah, what a lineup! The playlist seems more dance-r&B oriented than Bob up here in Austin. I mean wow, Fat Joe?!?! Perhaps they are catering the sound to San Antonio's musical tastes, is such a thing exists. I have tried to pick the station up here from north Austin with mixed results. That playlist makes it all the more intriguing.

I usually head a few minutes west to Lago Vista when I want to pick up SA stations. The reception from that area (especially at the higher elevations) is INCREDIBLY clear... all SA stations come in without interference. 102.7 is no exception.

I think Jack is drinking from the Jammin' 94.1 trough, too.

Overall, I'm very impressed with the playlist. I've spent more time listening to FM these last few days than I have in a few years. When Jack plays a clinker, I switch over to Bob, and usually find a song that I like.

I'm also impress with their playlist. The station still plays more Rock then I would like to hear but it's tolerable. I still believe Jammin 94.1 and Magic will take the biggest hits from Jack. And without a shocker, neither BMP or Cox stations have reacted to Jack. If Digital 104.1 gives us any indication before BMP reacts, then grab some SNICKERS because this could be awhile.

Yes, Magic should be concerned. They have a tiny playlist compared to Jack. I agree, there are some really good songs being played, especially more Billy Joel. I heard Allentown and The River of Dreams the other night. I've also heard Little Lies by Fleetwood Mac, Walking in LA by Missing Persons, My Hometown by the Boss (Bruce Springsteen), Sosburray Hill by Peter Gabriel, Hot in the City by Billy Idol. In other words, some real good 80s music that you don't hear on Magic. I haven't heard these songs in years played in SA, some I've never heard being played in SA. It's about time we get some descent pop music played here.

One interesting song I heard on Jack at 4 in the morning was MMMBop by Hanson, Couldn't help but laugh. Brought me back to middle school when I made fun of girls who were obsessed with Hanson and thought they were going to be around for a long time.

This is exactly like KJKK/"100.3 Jack FM" Dallas-Fort Worth. I realize that once again 102.7 in SA is like another identical twin to 100.3 in Dallas (about five years ago when they both parted a CHR format).<P ID="signature">______________

sluggmunki you could be right but looking at Jack's playlist in Dallas from the hours between 9p and 2p. None of the artist that I've listed were played in that time frame.
