Hilton`s 94.1 K-Love Contract-Return of Majic 94.1???

Was is the real deal?? Does the K-Love contract with Hilton and 94.1 become void now that the new tower is approved??? Are Oldies headed back to 94.1 soon???
 
94.1 had a very strong showing in the August Arbitron 12+ numbers for Greensboro...not that it does them much good as a non-commercial station other than to show the popularity of K-Love to the suits in Sacramento (actually Rocklin....hopefully, for them reflected in increased contributions) that might encourage them to renegotiate the current LMA contract for WWLV.

Will the recently-approved Rowan County site still allow good coverage of the Greensboro market?
 
I hope K-LOVE stays on 94.1! I like it a lot better than New Life 91.9. I wish EMF could buy the station from what's his name.

I really don't think Gig would be stupid enough to end the agreement with k-love. While I don't know how much he receives each month from the LMA, I would think its a pretty good amount of money. How much would he have to bill each month to net whatever amount he is now receiving? Only he knows (any maybe a few family members). All he has to do now is keep it on the air and make sure the FCC is happy and laugh all the way to the bank. He doesn't worry about sales, personel, promotions or any of the other headaches of attempting to compete in Charlotte. He already has oldies on his AM & its translator. Again Gig CAN'T be stupid enough to end the agreement. The only way I see Majic coming back is selling the station and the new owners being REALLY stupid and ending the LMA. Big Ape, do you agree?
 
I don`t know..... You are talking about GIG Hilton!!!! The man who KEEPS firing Tom Collins and REHIRING him again!!!! I wouldn`t AT ALL be surprised to see Gig END the K-LOVE lma suddenly and have TOM COLLINS running the show!!! I really think that it is not a question of IF it will happen, but WHEN it will happen!!!

No obsession with Tom Collins. I have written about him a number of times (and about Gig Hilton and Majic 94.1) among MANY other subjects. Collins is a NEVER-ending soap opera and KEEPS on doing CRAZY things in this market. Remember, the WBRF-FM 98.1 drama last year and part of this year???? The Majic thing is also NEVER ending drama-LOL. The transmitter movement matter dragged on forever. Now, the transmitter and finally be granted and there is a clause that Gig can pull the plug on the LMA, and put Majic back. Many think he will do this. He allready changed his AM station-WLXN and 99.9 low-power to Oldies. I really think that Majic will return at some point. And the cartoonish Tom Collins and Gig Hilton will ride once more on a 100,000 watt blow torch-LOL!!!

I just called that number and asked them to play "Music Box Dancer" followed by "We're All Alone"!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D They said they'd see what they could do.
 
Now that was real scientic! Call the station and ask the person that answers for a request. What would you expect them to do go into a long disertation on why they could not play your request? Wow!
