Hip-Hop Legend Keith "Guru" Elam of Gang Starr (1966-2010)

One half of the legendary hip-hip duo Gang Starr passed yesterday from cancer at the age of 43 in a New York City hospital...

Gang Starr was one of my favorite groups in the early-to-mid '90s growing up (I'm 30 now), and Guru is one of those underrated MCs that doesn't mentioned enough among the likes of 2Pac, B.I.G., Jay-Z, Nas, Rakim, and a few others.

Rest in peace Guru

Hot 87.7 Boston did a tribute to Guru today . A sad day in Boston ( Guru Home town ) and the hip hop world . R.I.P. Guru.

Wblx down here in Mobile Al. is doing a tribute mix as I type this. Mixing all his joints back to back. Probably one of the most underrated hip-hop groups around. I just wish their were more positive and diverse hip hop acts today like Gangstar was back in the day. R.I.P Guru. :'(
