Hip-Hop Music on KOOL 96.1/990 last night (Saturday)

I was scanning the FM band last night just before 9PM last night and I heard a hip-hop song on 96.1 -"Bad and Boujee" by Migos. I thought okay. Must be getting some tropo or skip. No big deal. Then I checked 990-AM and the same song was playing. I thought okay. It's illegal, but maybe they're feeding 990 from the 96.1 translator. - The song ended and then it was business as normal. "Kool Oldies 990 AM and 96.1 News Update. Westwood One News, the accompanying commercials, and then the 3rd hour of "The Wolfman Jack" show began."

What in the hip-hop was going on?
