History of WFME 94.7 FM at new Website

Wow, just the NY Radio breakthrough we were looking for! I couldn't wait to read about the history of Harold Camping ::)

I've been holding my breath for Family Radio to sell this frequency. I'm nearly dead... but still hold out hope. The frequency would be better served with a format people actually listen to.
24 hr. choral and organ music doesn't hold much appeal to the average New Yorker.

In what parallel universe was WFME-DT "the first digital TV station to be broadcasting to the Northern New Jersey / New York City area"? Correct me if I'm wrong here, but weren't all the network O&O's on the air from the WTC before it was destroyed?

Makes me wonder about the validity of the other information on that page.

Were there any DTV signals on the air in 2001 from the WTC?

And the one on Long Island, 88.9 FM, although as a non-commercial that probably would just end up in another Jesuscaster's hands.

DTV was just coming along back then and some HD signals WERE up at the WTC. However, since not many consumers owned HDTV sets at that time since the prices were still a bit high, nor did most cable companies put out HD boxes, most of the broadcasting was experimental and limited in terms of HD quality. Only the main network feeds were transmitting on HD...HD didn't get on a local level yet.
