It's clear now that Mediafrog wants the moderators to censor discussion that he doesn't like. This thread is what RadioDiscussions should be, which is an honest, open conversation about FCC & IRS legalities, whether certain broadcasters deserve the right to have non-profit status, and what advantages they have or don't have in the radio spectrum. Arguments on here are healthy and should be encouraged, not eliminated.
 
This whole thread is just a religious vs. atheist argument at the end of the day. People telling the other side they're wrong. So much for this being about "taxes". I'm not against the continuation of this discussion, but let's call a spade a spade.

Mediafrog+ has done nothing wrong, just called for the closing of a discussion that has gone beyond the topic of radio. You claiming it's a discussion he doesn't like is the same as me assuming the mods are religious themselves. I don't know that for a fact. In the 20 or so years I've read his posts, he's always been a civil person that has seemed to avoid any off topic discussion and tried to steer things in the right direction.

The radio issue here is, were religious groups to be taxed, many who have stations or rent time would not survive. Others would restrict their activities to pay fees and taxes. The end result would be the loss of income for many smaller stations, which would disappear along with their jobs.

Excellent point.

But I think the various perspectives have been covered, and any incomplete posts supplemented. So we are considering closing the thread soon.
