OK So I lived in SD for 4 years and just moved to LA 2 weeks ago.
Im a big fan of house music and i was told to check here for any house mixshows in LA.
I found Power Tools 105.9 and the Super Estrella 107.1 Fm.. Both on Saturday afterhours nights.

Is there any other house mixshows in LA?

Powertools has Swedish Egil nice- i was also told Richard Vission is there too.

On the Super Estrella show i didnt hear any big name dj's but I did hear that they will be at the Playboy Mansion with Tiesto for Halloween . They said they were going to be there onsite
I also heard a few female mix dj's. was very surprised by that .

What can you guys tell me that have lived in LA for a while about both of these shows.
If there is more house mixshows I would love to know.
Thanks

David B.

Super Esterlla is a joke. Powertools is a much better show. KIIS-FM has great mixes on Friday nights and sometimes Saturday nights.

Does anybody know what happened to power tools this saturday.
I tuned in last night at 3 something and they were'nt on air.
They were playing hip hop music..... Did they air at all last night.
Not sure what happened

I wanted to tune in to Powertools from 3a-4am

I was very surprised by last night Super Estrella afterhours show on 107.1 .
They were live at the Playboy Mansion Halloween Party with Tiesto.

Very nice.... they also mentioned their new website.
here it is .. www.remixradiola.com

Im starting to like their show quite a bit.

Power tool though its still my first choice.

Good job too both of u.

Maybe KIIS should adopt an underground house show since they already do house on Friday nights in a regular four hour mix show. I'm thinking with all these people attempting to do a dance show, maybe it's about time a rhythmic dance station were launched. Having one dance lean station playing rhythmic hits makes more sense than KGGI, KPWR, KXOL, KSSE, and KIIS all doing something late at night at different times. obviously there is enough demand for at least a dance leaning rhythmic or dance lean top 40, based on how many of the stations in L.A. are sounding.

I remember when KZZP did club kiss afterhours, followed by Club Kiss After Afterhours. Those were the days. I'm sure something similar or a modernized version of this type of mixshow will start popping up in many towns soon. Of course, I'm talking about in the cities where this is not already happening. I think predicting something that's already happened is cheating. ;D

KPWR airs Powertools from 2 to 4 AM early Sunday morning, and I'm listening to it right now. The mentioned that their October 30th (2010) broadcast had technical difficulties, which was the reason why the show did not air.

Yeah heard it.. Swedish House Mafia....... Power tools is having a great freaking show tonight.
Hopefully they don't go off air again.
On 107.1 Afterhours they started at 1am .
Being that the hour is moved back they have been on for 4 hours I have been going back and forth on both stations.
Its crazy 107.1 Afterhours had 8 dj's mix on their show. 6 being female

I wonder if that has ever happened before that a mixshow had 6 female dj's mix on a mixshow on 1 night.
Very curious to find out. I know Dj Amanda Evans is a Playboy Model just heard her mix.

I wonder if they use turntables or cds for their mixes on both shows. Powertools and the 107.1 Afterhours
