Re read his post.

He clearly stated that most groups emulate the clarinet through the piano. Some of them opt to use a live clarinet, while others emulate the sound. Don't you ever read posts?

Mr Johnny! Am I not typing this right or what? I said Duranguense bands have keyboards, no actual clarinets. They may use the sound of a clarinet on the piano like you said. But it is not a actual clarinet!

You know what you meant. Don't change it to make yourself look good. Obisouly, you have no experience in Mexican (or duranguense) music. Texmex? Wouldn't that be Tejano music? Stick with what you know.

You said no clarinets. They do use clarinets. Like I said (and again, re-read David and my post), some bands opt to use the piano, other (few margin) use the actual clarinet. Even I know that, and I'd have to be the last person that should know this.

Ok Mr Johnny, Tex-Mex Means Texan Mexican!! And well it makes no sence to talk about this anymore ok? Lets just go back with the subject about jazz!! I happen to play in a band that plays norteno, mariachi, banda. So thats the kind of music I play. Thank God I know how to play, The Guitarron, La vihuela, El Bajo Sexto, Bass and piano. But I guess playing all thses instruments dosent give me any experience with musica grupera!

That was my first intent before you went after david. Oh and Tex Mex is also a term used to refer to Tejano music. Of course, you should know that.

I could probably master the piano, but that doens't mean I'll know everything there is behind classical music. Does it?

Well, first off, you don't have the knowledge (by the way you just "assume"). You obviously don't know the first thing about Regional Mexican music. You don't know what the instruments are called. And you keep stereotyping styles of music.

Someone posted here that Dallas' KMVK HD2 was commercial free. Nothing has been said about KHJZ. Just hoping someone that WORKS at CBS Radio knows something. The launch is set for Early May, but I think we can probably expect it to launch sooner than that. Just wonder if the HD-2 channel will be filled with PSAs or just 100% commercial free.

Houston is one of the last cities to keep this format the longest. Many other cities smooth jazz format flipped months or weeks before it flipped here. I recall 98.5 back in the 90s, which was smooth jazz but sadly was a rim shot and didnt last long. Thats one of the main reasons that it failed.
