Houston. It's time to let your voice be heard. We've lost a good rock station...

I visited the Jack 103.7 website and looked at the photos. Lame! Please, go enjoy the parade of bad photos of forced smiles from the staff that wasn't let go that morning. I bet the party was over in less than 15 minutes or by the time the three bottles of bubbly were spent.

I always wondered how the original Jack logo was sold in. We often joked that it looked like an old, fat, drunk, white General Manager wearing bad shades and a crown. Obviously the agency knew the audience of decision makers better than we did.

Did they really title an area of their website "Jack's Sac?" I feel so dirty for looking.

Re: Houston. It's time to let your voice be heard. We've lost a good rock statio

Ha, Jack. Think of the juvenile jokes that will bring...but wait...no one but sales and engineering exists to answer the phone.
I can't even call and complain about the offensive advertisements.

They've added a sad little flash page with sound efx. Now you can send your photo as a "friend of Jack."
If you're evil and you know it, do your darndest.

Too many options!!!!

...let me be the 1st...or 10th...person to say that rock and roll radio is dead. Long gone are the days when radio and record companies cultivated an artists for long term success. It now resembles old white guys, no offense to old white guys, force feeding ducks. "HERE, SWALLOW THIS!" I'm done swallowing! (Insert joke here). I'm tired of listening to the same 200 songs on the arrow. I'm tired of listening to the same 50 songs on the Buzz. For example, I just now logged onto the buzz.com and they're playing Nirvana. Hey, Nirvana is great, but I've F**KING heard it already! It was 1993 when that song came out! F**K! ...and don't even think about feeding me Evans Blue or Finger 11; just don't! I'll be hurling like the fat kid in Stand By Me.

My Itunes runs my music, not my radio. Radios in my home and office have been replaced with PC speakers. I listen to what I want, when I want. To be honest, radio doesn't speak to me and it hasn't for a while. I wonder how radio is going to win me back? I wonder when my old friend is going to talk to me?

Somewhere along the way I read KLOL/KIOL sounded old towards the end. It did. KKRW sounds old now. It does. As for the Buzz, I dont' know. I just don't want my morning show guy to start every sentence with, "WASSUP, WASSUP, WASSUP, it's ...."

I'm going to listen to Clutch the rest of the afternoon. If anyone wants to join me, you where NOT to find me.

da.

I made a nice montage for them. I was told that the address to send it to was [email protected]
Could anyone verify that? Just want to know if I should send it to [email protected] for sure.
It's nice and has me in the picture with the Jack logo.

Hey R&Risdead,

First, how can your "old friends" talk to you when you have your earbuds cranked up to 11 while you play air-drum in your smelly office.
Second, have you noticed how much louder you've been turning up your Simpsons and Regular Guy shows just to hear the dialog? Didn't think so.

A couple more years and you'll only be able to listen to those voices in your head.

>>>My Itunes runs my music, not my radio. <<<

Now you know why it is just tougher and tougher for stations to compete. The only way out of this is when companies get more aggressive, creative, and put more personality on the product.
