How come Steve Miller's Rock N me wasn't a top 100 song

I used to hear it on Unforgettable Favorites. Or at least I think I did. The affiliate had a tendency to play louder music when it went local. Even after Unforgettable favorites became Timeless Favorites and other stations in the area had that so the station had to switch to America's Best Music, the owner's son still wanted to play REO Speedwagon and .38 Special.

"Rock n Me" is missing from the Top 100 of 1976. But Steve Miller's "Take The Money & Run" makes the chart at #98.

However, I see two songs on this list I don't think I've ever heard, even though I thought I knew 1976 hits pretty well...

---#68 Baby Face - Wing and A Prayer Fife and Drum Corps

---#71 Wham Bam - Silver

Then there is #94 Larry Groce - Junk Food Junkie. I think I may have heard that a couple of times. I had no idea it made the Billboard Top 100 of 1976. Crazy.

"Baby Face" and "Junk Food Junkie" were definitely hits, and annoying ones at that. I couldn't wait for them to drop from my favorite stations' playlists when they were current. Actually, "Junk Food Junkie," like almost all novelty songs, was funny the first few times I heard it. Other listeners obviously found it funny for weeks on end.
