How low the ratings have to go for a format flip to occur?

I would agree that the price is pretty reasonable. Just buy the small soda at lunch instead of the large each day at work, and you'll pay for the satellite radio and then some. I'm not normally someone who advocates paying for something you can get for free, and I probably wouldn't have bothered with satellite if I still lived in a major market. Of course, I doubt I would give it up if I moved back to one now. However, I thought you might want to know that there's a rumor going around that Sirius is looking very closely at buying into terrestrial radio. Clearly, they still see a potential in this business.

I don't know. My XM radio can transmit on FM, and it easily covers my entire house. Granted, my house is pretty small, but I can literally listen to it on every radio I have inside. I can also listen to it on my Walkman (digital) in my yard. The Sirius receiver doesn't do nearly as well. I can get it in pretty much one room only, though my car radio can get it outside.

Re: My Austin Radio Dial take....

I think Sat. radio needs to bring down there pricing of there recievers, its way to pricy right now to me, I think they should go down. Hopefully in time the myfi will go a lot lower if it did, then I might switch to that.

You might also add an Urban AC because Austin could sure use one either on AM or FM, mostly likely on AM.
