What stupidity at 97X, it is truly "KIDDIE" rock for sure. First, little "JUNIOR" Stroke pulls the same stunts and same goofy bits his "IDIOT" so-called daddy YODA run in the ground for years. Now we have the SHORTBUS and some BIG-BIMBO named Taylor running the dump further in the ground. I mean how many more concerts are we going to have some former jock that when you listened to him it sounded like paint drying! Why don't we have a "BC & BUBBA", "ROCKIN' RON", "ZAC", "YODA" or even a "MADDUX" or a "PETER GUNN" fest. I think ROCKIN' RON was the one who started the local music scene for the old ROCK 103 and even 97X. Freak was a nice guy and it sucked what happened to him, but he wasn't the only person to die before his time. It isn't fair to others that risks their lives everyday. How about the local troops that come back mangled from being in war for service of our country in Iraq. When has any radio station done any concert for them? I hope this will end this insanity and let FREAK, David Grimes, finally REST IN PEACE!

It would certainly appear you've trashed three undeserving people within two sentences, and one of those people is no longer alive to defend themselves. Traditionally, I don't post here, I just read this garbage knowing that it is just that. But I'd like to say that you,"97xRip," and everyone who is reading this invited to Freak Fest at Club La Vela, September 13. It's a benefit to raise funds for cancer research. It's only $10 and it could very well lead to a cure. Whether you work for Magic Broadcasting, ClearChannel, PC Radio, B, Cumulus, ect., chances are, you know someone who has been affected by this disease. I honestly hope your malicious postings make you feel really good.
 
The reason for the change is the majority of people don't listen to ROCK.
Look at how well 93.3 is doing and 107.9 are doing.

Sorry you feel that way about 97X but when I tuned in,they played nothing but crap.

We still have 101.5 and during TROPO, you can tune in.

(and yes, 93.3 does cover the west end of PCB)

It is a shame this is even a topic on here. The benefit from what i understand goes to charity to fight Cancer.

BTW- According to my sources...97xrip = YODA.

It is a very good source, and a shame that he is so full of anger. It speaks a lot about his character to even post here.

I recently moved back in the area, and think 97x is one of the better sounding stations. The jocks are decent , and music is mostly right. A little to much of the older stuff, but it works.

I am just a little shocked Yoda would post this. I never knew him, but from this post I am glad I didn't know him.

97Xrip --- you need to make amends or just forget posting on here. Be a man, Yoda, R2d2 I don't care. You have
cursed yourself with bad karma and none of us want it, so confess and move on. Seriously, anyone who would not
see fit to try to save a life, regardless of the approach, especially after someone sadly lost theirs is in need of lots
of counseling. 97xrip, would you rethink this?
 
Devoid of a soul? No, everyone has a soul but I certainly understand how bitterness can cloud reason. The concert is intended to help heal, 97rip please put aside your bitterness and allow this event to begin healing your bitterness as well. If you can, take a step back and understand the bitterness long associated with the situation of the group. If you are Yoda then you've seen the bitterness take people long ago when you were part of the inside team, now that you are on the other side reflect on the self destruction that bitterness brought to those before you and don't let it take you as well. Tragic is a very good descriptor, doubt that you'll be the last to experience this emotional turmoil. Sad situation. Freak was a human being and whether you liked or disliked him. You are human as well so please decide to enjoy the life you have and through away the bitterness.
