How many of you hate the kind of music they play at work?

Where I work, they play non-stop country or disco-oldies. It's either satellite radio, internet, or cd since there is no fm call letters or commericals. Does anyone hate the kind of music that your boss plays?

i would imagine after a while listening to the same crapcan get old very quickly, especially if you can look up at the clock and predict the next song that will play without glancing over at the automation computer or looking for the PD/MD's shoulder while he/she schedules the music.

in my opinion you have to haVe a certain level of tolerance for the music heard at the station you work for, you can always tune it out and go about your business, but in the end, if you hate the format, why did you want to be at that station rather than going to a station with a format you would love to listen to everyday??

and before anyone begins to bash me and say the normal stuff like how i don't know what i am taking about because i was nothing more than a mere board op..yada yada yada...let me just say that i am entitled to voice my opnion here just as much as skipper,Tbarber, TheX , B5 or anyone else....if i'm wrong in my opinions, correct me, don't bash me, i have alot of respect in everyone that i have known and some i have had the honor of working with.
______________

I work at the Honda plant. No music, but that damn lunch bell tune really gets on my nerves.

they pretty much banned any radio without headphones where i work, before that motst of the time it was either on 102.1 WDRM, Kool 92/94, Star 99.1, or my part15, because that's all that can pick up in the building, the other stations I didn't care for, but it made me happy to walk by and hear someone playing my station, lol
______________

The first station that I was hired by I had never really listened to. A friend of mine was the promotions director. I was just glad to be around the station and getting paid with that first job. I learned to know and like the music, but for the most part I still don't listen to that station these days.

I can predict what next song comes up next because as long as I been at this store (about three months now), they haven't change the playlist for country or disco-oldies format depending who's the manager that day. I feel so better after work when I can pick up Rocket 95.1 in my car and listen to my music. On some days there's no music playing which makes me happy because I don't have to listen to someone's lame taste in music.

Davenport, you don't know what the heck you're talking about.

Uh, what were we talking about again?
