How to Get Trance/House/Dance songs into the Billboard Hot 100

L

I just want everyone to try this little 'evil' "take-over-the-world" type scenario with the Billboard Hot 100...called rigging it.

I live in New Bedford and have the wonderful privalege of being able to listen to fun 107.1, which as you all know plays house/trance/dance like CRAZY! You would think they were #1's the way they play them.

NOW Cascada's "Everytime We Touch" fell from #53 to #56 this week on Billboard come on people! We needed this to be the third top 10 for Robbins entertainment...it was going to make #8 like DJ Sammy and DHT did! So let's make that happen...

Let's make it #8 on billboard.

HERE'S THE PLAN.

1) CALL YOUR LOCAL HIT MUSIC STATION EVERYDAY AND REQUEST EITHER "EVERYTIME WE TOUCH" BY CASCADA OR "KISS YOU" BY IIO. BOTH THESE SONGS ARE BIG HIT CONTENDERS AND ARE PLAYED CONSTANTLY ON SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND RADIO. OR CALL MORE THAN ONCE A DAY WHEN THE DJ'S SWITCH.

2) CALL STATION'S ALL OVER THE COUNTRY...LET'S ALL CONTRIBUTE TO A LIST...EACH OF US WILL ADD A #1 HIT MUSIC STATION'S NUMBER ACROSS THE COUNTRY...

I will contribute my station's #...
(508) 994-1071...remember to put a 1 in front if its long distance.

--EVERYDAY CALL NUMEROUS RADIO STATIONS SPREAD OUT ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND REQUEST THE SONGS..IF THEY DON'T HAVE THEM THEY WILL EVENTUALLY ADD THEM WITH ENOUGH REQUESTS.

OTHER SONGS THAT HAVE THE CHANCE OF CHARTING ARE "Someone" by DHT...and also "Poison" by Groove Coverage...I love that one...and that one Fun 107 plays at least 4 or 5 times a day...like its still out...even if it was released an year ago. Also "As the Rush Comes" by Motorycle and "Will I?" by Ian Van Dahl...those get enough recurrent airplay to chart if places other than in southern new england charted.

COME ON LETS MAKE SOME HITS!
I WANT NUMBERS PEOPLE!! GIVE ME 50 AT LEAST!

--P.S. DON'T LISTEN TO THE RADIO STATIONS, JUST CALL, TO MAKE IT LESS TIME CONSUMING!

WHO'S WITH ME?

EVENTUALLY, AFTER THE SONGS ARE ROTATED ENOUGH AND PEOPLE HAVE GOTTEN INTO THEM - THEY WILL CARRY THEMSELVES TO THE TOP FROM THE REQUESTS OF PEOPLE WHO WEREN'T PART OF THIS PLAN.

I KNOW IT CAN WORK...BECAUSE AFTER I DID THIS FOR "KISS YOU" BY IIO AT FUN 107, AFTER HEARING THEM PLAY IT ONCE, NUMEROUS OTHER PEOPLE REQUEST IT AND IT IS PLAYED CONSTANTLY.

By the way..I forgot to mention - just request the songs that I have listed particularly iio and Cascada...seeing they're climbing already...

After a month or so...we can all vote for the trance songs that we will start to request on radio...whether its a favorite recurrent or a new single that we think will make it...also downloading the songs helps too - but that's expensive.

FUN 107.1 is 508-994-1071

TRUST ME THIS WILL WORK!! SO POST YOUR RADIO STATION #'S.

Right

Post on a radio board that the entire industry sees. Now if they get a flood of calls, they'll know it's a bunch of other radio people trying to "save dance."

Reminds me of when I worked at a CHR station. Evening shift was the worst. You get 10 requests in a row, one right after the other, for the same song. Gee. I must not be intelligent enough to know the "pass the phone around the sleepover" game.
______________

I live in the Providence area so i get to hear Fun 107 as well...my favorite station...thankfully citadel didn't run it in the water when they acquired it...Cascada-everytime we touch is doing well in the northeast in general (kiss 108, fun 107, Z 100)

The point of this string is for everyone to get a bunch of different radio station numbers...as many as possible...not for every person to call only one particular radio station. I said in the previous posts to randomly select the stations you call. WAKE UP CALL: The entire radio industry doesn't see this radio board...particularly just the dance section.

Re: Right

You might be surprised to learn that "phones" don't really have that much affect on larger market radio stations playlists. Phones can be 'staged' and PDs know that. When dance music is able to get more of a positive reaction in call-out research, you'll hear more of it on the radio.

For example, Cascada must not be doing all that bad since it's had considerable growth over the last few weeks.

Phones are not the answer, but good luck on your endeavors.
______________

When the Cascada song is the only song in this industry making any noise on Billboard chart... then Im sorry to say that we are in deep (BLEEP).
