Howie Carr starts Thursday morning 09/20 @ 96.9 FM Talk?

According to an article in this morning's Boston Herald;

"With just days left on his WRKO radio talk show contract, Howie Carr is poised to get behind the morning-drive microphone on rival WTKK Thursday as his current station mounts a last-ditch legal effort to block the move."

Maybe you should start an on-air date pool for when Howie will actually be on-air, anywhere, after next Wednesday, again. With lawyers fighting, probably January '08.

My heart says Howie will be on FM next Thu but my head says you could be right. With lawsuits
looming, Howie may get an "extended vacation". But if Greater/Carr's lawers can slam dunk the idea that
a non-compete is illegal, and if a judge can rule that they can't accept WRKO's counter-offer,
it could be over quickly.

Or not.

It is not about "non-compete". Those have been struck down in many states, though not yet in MA. It is about a right to match that Howie triggered. WTKK has already said more than they should since they could be liable for significant damages if things don't go Howie's way in court.

I say there is no way he is on WTKK next week.

As for WCRN, it dumps Howie after today. What they're doing with Ingraham is running her 10-noon
and then her first hour (9-10 ET) gets delayed to 1 pm. They absolutely have to run that ratings grabber
