Humphries, Mancow Leave TRN; TRN to Launch New Spinoff "Lifestyle" Network?

Rusty Humphries is a heck of a nice guy and makes some really killer beef jerky - I hope he pops up again soon. Rumor has it that he's in talks with GCN, the same network that syndicates Free Talk Live. I saw him and GCN head Ted Anderson chatting at the Fall TALKERS conference in L.A. and a rumor I heard from a program director confirms that a move to GCN is an option on the table for Rusty. I was told by the same PD that TRN is finally admitting to its remaining affiliates that Rusty will not be coming back on-air with their network. He is still listed on TRN's website, though, but their site is likely out-of-date. For instance, their "current" on-air schedule still lists Mancow, and he jumped ship a few weeks ago and moved his morning show to GCN.

In fact, their entire weekday schedule has been almost entirely decimated since their meltdown in late summer 2013. Mancow is gone, Humphries is (likely) gone, Tantaros is gone (and has filed suit against TRN), and the last man standing is Jerry Doyle, who only returned to the air because TRN managed to scrounge up some money to pay him the back pay he was apparently owed. What a mess!

Look closer at the schedule, though. It appears that TRN is spinning off a "new" network called "America's Lifestyle Radio Network". It's weekday shows include "Advice Line" with Roy Masters (which I've heard is atrocious), and the remnants of "America's Morning News", which made industry headlines in 2013 for its original hosts walking out during the TRN meltdown. Word is the program has been being hosted by the show's producer, ever since. A google search for "America's Lifestyle Radio Network" reveals only three results, all of which reference a corporation created in Selma, OR back in September of 2013 (which is the timeframe of the very first couple weeks of the TRN meltdown). It appears this may be the end of TRN as we know it and that "America's Lifestyle Radio Network" will be its likely replacement. Note that this new network is TRN's baby and not the same network as "Lifestyle TalkRadio Network".

Here's a link to the corporate info for "America's Lifestyle Radio Network":

Hopefully Humpries can find a home. He was decent in his short stint in Detroit. There's just a lot more shows than there are quality slots right now.
