I am surprised matt ryan terry meiners francene charlie steele kept there jobs

As it turns out no on air talent was let go i was expecting terry to get let go because i am sure he makes a nice 6 figure salary or francene. Mainly i thought one if not both of them were gonna be let go but they were all spared.

Congratulations guys you survived.

Terry and francene bring in some good coin for the suits!!!

how did that happen? almost every other market let go of an air personality or producer. how did louisville escape that? with as long as jocks have been there I would think most of them make a decent living. not that you want to see someone lose their job, but wow, luck was on their side!

:) Charlie has done an amazing job keeping the Fox running with what he has. The Fox really has no overhead @ all besids him & the powerbill. He also mans the ENTIRE CC Louisville web dept. HIMSELF.

The Fox almost beat Louie!

I know nothing about radio strategy, I'm just an outside observer. So maybe this is obvious to the pros. But.....

Classic Country does better than New Country on a weaker signal. So did Cox put the wrong format on 103.1? Or is the thinking that Classic Country is strong enough to thrive on a weaker signal but New Country needs the help of the bigger stick? Or is Classic Country a one book kind of ratings winner that will eventually fall back?

Just curious...............

i was shocked that WKRD kept its local programs especially when WDFN in detroit got nuked of all of its local stuff

They better not get rid of the Afternoon Underdogs.

I too was very surprised, but very pleased. Maybe the people here are busting their backs and have the ratings to prove their worth, or maybe CC forgot they have stations in Louisville!

I'm reminded of Terry Meiners' line when Clearchannel bought the station from the Binghams-- in a deep Texas draw-- "they'll be no changes!" I think he knew at the time of the trouble coming.
