I Have Some Car Radio Presets I'd Like to Sell

I'm 43 years old - apparently too old to count as a real listener by today's corporate radio standards because I no longer buy stuff. I wish it was true that I no longer "buy stuff" - I would have lots more money. Once was a time I was changing my radio presets at least once a week, because there were so many great stations, I couldn't make up my mind on what stations to assign to 12 FM presets - 6 on FM1, 6 on FM2. The method I finally started using was assigning presets to weaker stations - those that would fail to lock during a scan - and just scan up/down to nearby strong stations that would lock. Now, I can barely find enough stations to fill up 6 presets, so I think I'm just going to assign the same 6 stations to both FM1 and FM2. By the way, the few presets I now have are no longer assigned to ANY station owned by big corporate - which was NOT the case until Lite 102.9, K104.7, My102.5 and other AC stations felt they had to "young-up" the format. The only stations for which I now have presets are locally or regionally owned. If radio was the ONLY driving force in where I would choose to live, I would choose a smaller to medium-sized radio market where most of the stations are locally-owned - the stations would sound oh so much better.

That's my minor rant - you may now resume your regular "younged-up" programming.

welcome to the club.
soon enough, you will no longer 'buy stuff'.
well, at least, buy what's advertised on radio.
for example, i no longer buy:
1.any product (ad) ending with with 5 seconds of fast disclaimers. it's marked off the list.
2.all ads which increase volume over my acceptable program volume are marked as well.
3.finally, using an annoying sounder to announce the ad. i change stations on that one.
bottom line: using these rules, yes....i rarely buy anything advertised during radio programs.

 The automobile ads are the most annoying.. One right after another! Who can afford a "new" car today anyway.. Most are leases for the rest of you and your first borned natural lifes!
BIGAPE!

I have enough FM stations to use all the presets. I do need more AM presets, though.

AM:

550 Country Legends Statesville NC; Dial Global standards Pinehurst, NC
850 WKIX Raleigh NC oldies/standards
1010 Rush Limbaugh at home
1280 Dial Global standards at home
1410 real standards in Concord, NC

I forget what the sixth is. Maybe I can use it for one of the other stations I need a button for.

FM:

88.5 Car Talk
90.7 Car Talk (actually, I don't need the first since this station repeats it on Sunday)
92.1 Star in Myrtle Beach, just out of curiosity, and Carolina 92.1 which I rarely pick up, which was almost standards
93.5 Real Christian music
94.5 WMUU Greenville, NC beautiful music; also Rush in the Greensboro, NC area
96.1 WKZQ in Myrtle Beach just out of curiosity
98.1 Classic Country 98.1
99.5 Rush at Myrtle Beach
101.1 Smooth jazz on weekends
102.9 Lite 102.9 for Christmas music but a standards station is next to it
104.7 K-104.7 for Christmas music
105.9 Standards/easy listening in Myrtle Beach
