As has been mentioned, a large portion of that billing came from sports, not the news operation. Audacy kept the sports franchise as part of the AM 880 deal. And the news operation was much lower than ever and likely not profitable or, based on projections, not likely to be profitable soon.I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that Audacy ended WCBS-AM, with revenues of $29.7 million, determining that it would be more financially advantageous to lease the frequency and just keep the Mets broadcasts. Are the lease terms for the 880 frequency that lucrative for Audacy?
