I just heard a commercial on lrs for lrsfest 2009 and they are in mono

I bet they are the ones flipping to talk but why the commercials for lrs fest?They do not say who the artists are but one thing is maybe lrs will go to hd or something like that but strange times we are in...

With the storms that went through yesterday, it's possible that their stereo generator glitched into mono. Not to say that they aren't preparing for a change, but if the mono operation happened shortly after the storm, I'd suspect it was a technical snafu.
 
They've managed to make it sound even worse now. It's still mono, but now with less bass and significantly less loudness than any other FM station on the dial.

Sounds like they punched up a "Classical" preset on the processor, or "Jazz" or something and backed down the drive.

I guess the plan is to drive all the listeners away so that nobody is mad when they flip it to talk. Considering what happened the last time LRS "went away forever", maybe that's not a bad idea.
