I knew everything was going to change on Election Day but…

I didn’t think I would be replaced by 24/7-holiday music. Like the song says "The weather outside is frightful"

After an amicable exit interview The Brooklyn Buckaroo has hung up his cowboy hat and is riding off into the sunset. For what it’s worth just want to let the broadcast gentry know that I’m available. (The line forms on the left) lol

Have: solid credentials and street cred. Need: Work

I remain optimistic,

As a fellow broadcaster who fell under the bludgeon of Cumulus 2 weeks ago yesterday, I know how you feel. Hang in there, sport.

hang in there...
at this point I'll just work for food in the radio industry

>>The question now is: What will the format be on December 26?

Exactly my thoughts!

and, what's up with the web site, it reflects neither the change in music or morning show?

Hi Louie,

Sorry you're out of work. It's happening from the West Coast to the East Coast. I got chopped a couple of weeks ago. It's spreading like wildfire. The bleeding begins. "The Day The Music Died," and the Pioneer's of our generation comes to an end.

The Best to you my Friend,

Ken Gilbert

Louie and Ken:

I'm sorry it's happened to both of you. I've been there and I know how it goes. You 2 will land on your feet. Just be patient and hang in there.

Thanks Bub,
Those few words mean a lot for Louie & myself.

God Bless

What’s scary to me is that two really talented guys (and from what I understand, nice people) like Louie and Ken were cut.
I can’t help believe that if radio is to survive it needs creative, passionate people like Louie and Ken.

My Dear Colleagues:

Many thanks for you kind encouragement… You see! I always knew it! When it comes down to it radio folk are good folk… I really am optimistic… and ready to hatch some crazy schemes and pitch some fresh ideas.

Also let me say the fact that Kenny the “Big G” Gilbert isn’t behind a microphone is nothing short of a sin.

Hey we all know that the sooner or later the radio industry is going to need the very humanity that it has had shed of in order to survive. A human connection between the programming and the listeners is the best way to go and will ultimately be radio’s business strategy.

And if I may… Dear owners, I really do have some well thought out ideas and would love a chance to pitch them.

Thanks again for your friendship

So, let's start the "What's the new 102.3 format gonna be after Christmas" pool:

I'll put a Starbucks pumpkin spice latte on Smooth Jazz, 100% satellite delivered, of course....

(This pool is for entertainment purposes only, not real gambling, remember bet with your head, not over it, licensed in Haiti and Amsterdam only).

Cheers,
Joe
