I Miss 93.1 DRQ Detroit's #1 Hit Music Station!

93.1 DRQ was way better than Channel 955 because they played more variety of music like a CHR Top 40 should play unlike Channel 955's mostly rhythemic hits.

Songs that I remember that 93.1 DRQ played are the following:

Dillemma by Nelly and Kelly Rowland.

Foolish by Ashanti.

DRQ played so many more cool songs, I dont know the names to all of them.

ABC/ Disney radio was stupid for taking 93.1 DRQ off the air, becauser all that did was improved that sorry station named Channel 955's ratings.

WDRQ FM 93.1 Doug FM is now owned by Citadel Broadcasting.

I hope that 93.1 FM DRQ will return on the air in Detroit sometime in the soon or later future. I the mean time I will be listening to SIRIUS and XM Satellite radio for Hit Music.
 
I WOULD TOTALLY AGREE.....THE OLD 93-1 DRQ PLAYED MORE VARIETY HITS AND SOME DANCE MUSIC AS WELL.

I NEVER UNDERSTOOD WHY ABC WOULD HAVE DUMMPED DRQ. CHANNEL 95-5 IS SOUNDING MORE LIKE FM98 EVERYDAY...MORE GHETTO ??? ???
 
Lower operating cost, DRQ advertising rates and revenue. Sometimes in a market like Detroit where the to 5 stations control the market you need to find an available nitch. Doug is successful.
