I SET MYCLOCK RADIO TO-----, BUT I NORMALLY LISTEN TO-----??

I also listen to Mia 1430am, WRKO 680am, Mix 104.1, and (not by Choice at my weekday job) Magic 106.7.
I also check out to see what's on to hear something different 92.9 B O S, and 93.7 Mike FM

But the main one I listen to most on my free time is WEEI 850am

and you all?

You wake up to???, you normally listen to???

Every Monday just after 6 AM Magic plays The Bangles "Manic Monday." I don't know how long they have been doing that, but I can count on that each Monday wake up time. I listen between WAAF and Sports Hub on the way to work.

I usually set my clock radio (always a flip clock) on Magic 106.7, 96.1 WSRS, Lite Rock 105, and sometime Mix 104.1 and 104.5 XLO.

static, I like that.

ah, another WZBC listener! ive noticed they have weird stuff on (presumably hours worth queued up around 2am to run til 6 or 7) which sounds like old Over The Edge episodes . kinda reminiscent of birds tweeting on Radio New Zealand (usually a good choice to wake up to on 6170 )

I prefer to ignore morning radio entirely. It matters not which station you listen to, the formatics are all the same, the bits are all the same, the traffic bimbos are interchangeable and generally haven't the slightest idea what is actually happening, the producers are all ill-fitted to radio but apparently think the title confers hilarity, not a single morning host could carry a program alone, the chatter about reality shows is all the same, there is no wit, there is no appeal to the brain (or if there is a modest attempt to appeal to the brain, such as at WBUR, there is no wit and no inspiration beyond recitation of the current morning Globe at the top and bottom of the hour and interviews based on the contents of the previous day's Globe during the rest of the hour.)

So I prefer the old time radio channel on the XM. This morning it was an episode of Suspense starring Fred MacMurray.

I set my clock radio to Jam'n 94/5 ..an hour later i and end up on WBZ

For the last five years I owned a clock radio, I set it to the bottom of the dial (static) and woke up to white noise. I preferred it over the annoying buzzer. For the past 2 years, I had gotten rid of my clock radio (do people really still use a clock radio?!). I use my Android phone's alarm now and previously, Windows Mobile before I upgraded to my current Evo 4G. Not owning a clock radio is another sign of how the times are changing and less people are tuning into radio.

By the way, CNET recently did a "Top 5" of things that a smart phone replaces. The top two was a point and shoot camera and... an alarm clock :)

I also use my cell phone alarm feature to wake me up when I'm away from home and don't have a clock radio, but maybe because I'm now in the ancient demographic in my mid-50s, I still prefer to wake up to music rather than a phone alarm.
