I wonder why summit media didnt try hip hop on 103.9 when they had the chance?

There was the rumor a while back 103.9 might go hip hop. I wonder why they didnt? Clearly there is research to show there is room for another hip hop station or 93.1 the beat would not have arrived in da ville. But country and classic rock are the two most popular formats in louisville research shows.

Maybe they didn't think that direction would fit well with their complement of other formats. Or maybe they didn't feel there was enough money to be made in that position.

Each company has a mind of its own. Who knows why they do what they do. Much of what they do makes absolutely no sense.
