"iBiquity's HD Radio Technology Leads to Breakout Year for Digital Radio"

"By nearly every measure, 2005 was a tremendously successful year... Boston Acoustics’ Recepter Radio® HD, the first HD Radio table-top product, made a great ’05 holiday gift... Multicasting emerged as the first HD Radio 'killer application', with program directors bringing richer, niche content to the airwaves by leveraging the HD Radio ability to offer several digital program channels from stations’ current spectrum."

This has to be the biggest fluff-piece, I have seen yet for HD Radio - of course, no mention of the number of HD Radios sold in 2005, if any ! The Receptor HD didn't even become available on Amazon, until May 2006 ! I wonder, how Robert Struble can live with himself ! :D

Re: "iBiquity's HD Radio Technology Leads to Breakout Year for Digital Radio"

It says 2005 was a breakout year for HD Radio? That can't possibly be true because uBiquitous supporters here have promised us that the big year won't come until 2009 or 2010. All of us here know that we can take that "promise" to the bank. 2005 must have merely been one of those dry runs.

Re: "iBiquity's HD Radio Technology Leads to Breakout Year"Cure is to BUZZ OFF!

iBiquity, the HD cartel, and their supporters are now into their 5th year of the HD rollout (but not the "real" big rollout scheduled for 2009-2010) and are still trying to peddle their defective, destructive, radio jamming snake oil.

Struble is real good at twisting words - "Boston Acoustics’ Recepter Radio® HD, the first HD Radio table-top product, made a great ’05 holiday gift." This statement means nothing, but gets around having to discuss, if any Receptor HD radios were actually sold. And, for 2006 he said, "I think on the consumer side things are going very well". Notice, how he says, "think", but he knows damn well HD radios are not selling, so he claims ignorance, even though he is CEO of iBiquity. Amaising, how a CEO can be so out-of-touch with reality ! :D
