Ideally, who/what would you like to hear replacing Steve LeVeille's broadcasts?

LOL, Brien and WBZ will both be just fine. It wasn't very long ago that Steve was raked over the coals on a regular basis on this board.......my opinion, not trying to start a pissing contest...and if there is one I won't participate. ;D

LOL - This is true, and I realize that you can't please everyone all of the time. I for one was displeased w/ Steve & the very heavy political content that his show turned into, but overall he was a top notch broadcaster.

I loved Jordan Rich on the weekends until a couple of years ago when he dropped much of the open lines & went to all those canned guests.

Guess I don't like change... ;)

Janet Jeghelian. she deserves some credit, especially after the incredibly inaccurate assertion by the self-anointed historian of all that is radio in Boston who proclaimed Miss Brien WBZ's first woman talk show host, an astonishing error, since Jeghelian did overnights at BZ, even got some national publicity for convincing someone -- on air -- not to commit suicide before going to WRKO with Tony Pepper

katzradio: Jordan still does open phone and live guests. My friend Frank Ochieng, who talks TV, movies etc has been on in recent weeks. Live calls, not canned talk. Jordan also has had local music
artists like Grace Curran, Brittanica, and Bird Mancini on. At least he does live talk more often than you may think

I know, but I'm talking years ago when he had maybe only one 1/2 guest during the entire show. It started after Jan 1. a couple of years ago. I remember a specific conversation; He was talking to "Singing Mike" in Brighton (of which I rarely hear anymore) and he was telling Mike that he was going very guest heavy starting in the New Year.

I had a bad feeling when he said that...and, well, the rest is history, as they say.

Again, I'm referring to "open topic" live lines as in years past. Now, the format is a guest of two (live, or possibly canned), maybe a half hr. of rushed open line calls, then back to more guests in the next segment. Not my cup of tea when he ran a full show of open lines years ago.

Couple that with the fact that if a person doesn't enjoy TV, Movies, or Book night, and the numerous morbid health shows/guests that he does, 'taint much left to listen to after that.

I may come across as overly critical, but I feel that if you have a good thing going (Jordan Rich Show, circa early 2000's) why change it? ::)

I've had a hard time listening to Jordan Rich because some of his shows have started with little/no introduction and he jumps right into talking with a guest. It was as if he was talking to them by himself, picking up from a prior conversation, and no audience was listening. Those might've been canned segments, if he's indeed doing them.
