If Hawks prevail and stay sporty, will 710-KIRO be at SB XL?

Yes for KIRO - and look for KOMO and KJR to be there too

KOMO will piggyback on ABC's coverage of the game, and have a radio reporter (or two) there.

KJR - well, they ARE a Clear Channel station - so I'd say they WILL find a way to be there.

KOMO and KJR at SB XL?

So if the Hawks DO head to Detroit, we'll also hear the game on KOMO AND KJR?

Who cares what radio will be doing that day. If it happens, its all about big parties, lots of women, a big screen TV, and a ton of booze!

KOMO 1000 News? No game coverage there. Actualities & reports, but no play by play.

KJR? Yes if the national show isn't contracturally blacked out in the team markets (and, of course, KJR has rights with W1). Raibes and Moon will call the game for Seahawks Broadcasting (KIRO, et al) no matter what, and there's quite a few station managers who wouldn't mind that.

Ignorant. Simply ignorant. Not everyone will have a TV at their disposal - and some would rather hear the local guys over Michaels and Madden, even though they're a class act.

Granted I understand if people are working or are forced to be on the road but "some would rather hear the local guys"??? So you're telling me there are people out there that are so impressed with Steve Raible that they would rather sit with the TV off and listen to him? I highly doubt it. So for you to think that there are alot of people out there that would not watch the game just so they can hear the game on radio is stupid.

Re: KOMO and KJR at SB XL?

Have you tried watching an NFL game on TV and listening to the companion radio play-by-play these days? It doesn't work. There are too many satellite bumps of the video - especially if you're watching on DirecTV or Dish. The radio guy is just finishing the play when you see the snap on TV.
Basketball? Forget it.

As for in-person listening:
Bringing your Sirius or XM portable to a football or baseball game? Forget it. The buffer can put you as much as 10 seconds behind the action. Great for out of town updates. No good for the game before your eyes.
