If you're found of sand dunes & salty air, you may be out of work

More disheartening news in All Access for the Qantum cluster on Cape Cod:
PD/PM drive on The Rose David Duran is out. Steve McVie Solomon now PD & doing a longer shift.
At Cool 102, Larry Egan gone & Joe Rossetti takes on morning drive.
Ricky B takes on PM drive on WCOD.
I think I've heard all the people involved at one time or another & it's obvious they work on The Cape because they choose to & not because they have to. It's really a shame you can't even decide to enjoy what you do in a smaller market to get away from pressures & instability.

This stuff is happening at the worst possible time because it's the same everywhere. What the hell do you do when you're unemployed on Cape Cod in winter? Not that radio people are famous for getting non-media jobs to tide them over, but for those who have to do it as a matter of survival it's bleak and tourist season is at least three months away. I honestly wonder how many out of work radio folk are sticking it out and thinking things will turn around. Loss of jobs in radio is a drop in the bucket when you look at other businesses laying off. More people have to cut the cord.
