A New flip has been announced at 101.1 FM

iHeartMedia flips CHR W266CP-FM/Asheville, NC, to Alternative as the new "ALT 101.1" with the slogan "Asheville's Alternative Rock," effective immediately. The new outlet will air Alternative music from artists such as Red-Hot Chili Peppers, Mumford & Sons, Foo Fighters and Twenty-One Pilots.

"There is a huge appetite for Alternative music in Asheville," said iHeartMedia Asheville Senior VP/Programming Brian Hall. "So many of the artists that you will hear on ALT 101.1 have already performed live in Asheville and I'm excited to know that local fans now have a radio station to listen to their favorite musicians and to call their home."
