IHEARTMEDIA ATLANTA REGIONAL PRESIDENT DREW LAUTER IS OUT

iHeartMedia has cut ties with Atlanta Regional President Drew Lauter.

WSB-TV reports that iHeart confirmed Lauter’s exit today after a video of Lauter from August 2021 recorded by a coworker showed Lauter in the backseat of a car coming back from a charity event with other staffers from the company was released. Lauter was shown making profane and racial comments telling the drive to run over certain people of color in not-so-kind language. WSB-TV also stated on air that was not the first time Lauter used racial language in front of employees and was shown on the video groping the driver of the vehicle.

The footage is over a year old. How did it not see the light of day any sooner? Or is that how long corporates take to investigate these things?

Absolutely disgusting and the fact that corporate did nothing until the video went public.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Is he representative of the type of people who run (perhaps "ruin" would be a more appropriate verb) AM/FM radio? I sure hope that isn't the case.

I am told that Lauter is very close friends with iHeart Media CEO Bob Pittman; that they are the godfathers of each other's kids.
