I'm enjoying KJR FM's Weekend of 1,001 Great Songs

KJR FM's Weekend of 1,001 Great Songs is lots of fun. When they said they would be playing stuff you haven't heard in a while they sure got that right. It's nice to hear songs not normally played on KJR FM like Jim Dandy, Saturday Night, Smooth, Baby Come Back to name a few. I usually listen to Jack FM but when I went to KJR FM's website and found out they were doing the weekend of 1,001 great songs I decided I had to listen and I'm glad I did.

I wish KJR-FM would change to this full time. They would get better ratings. Their ratings are going down, because they are too boring and repeat too much. They are too classic rock. KJR was a top 40 not rock. I would love to see them go oldies. I hope Jay Kelly is listening. He did a great job when he programmed KBSG. Right now I heard My Girl by the Tempations, cool!!!!!

It amazed me when not long ago I heard Matchbox 20 on KJR FM but it would be nice if the station did add these songs to their format but it's hard to know what will happen after the weekend. I think I can understand why Jack FM beat KJR FM in the last book but now even Jack FM is getting boring.

The Jack-FM here in Salt Lake City has recently added jocks. So far just song announces and liner cards. It's something different though.

Well the way Jack FM here in Seattle has annoucements picking on disc jockeys somehow I doubt they will add disc jockeys. I haven't listened to Jack FM since Thursday but I may go back to it at another time. I know Jack FM here in Seattle has been on for almost three years.
