Impressed with Jack in York/Meridian, Not Impress with WZNJ in Demopolis

I'm impressed with the new Jack 104.9, in York Alabama/Meridian Mississippi.  This station rocks.  When I able to hear it, their presentation impresses me.  Like the way they mix up the music and programming.  You never know what to expect, when you tune in. I predict this station will have runaway success, since so many are now discovering and listening to it.  For those that are involved with this station, hope you'll have success with the format and attact many listerners.

Not impressed with WZNJ in Demopolis. (60 Miles East of Meridian)  This station was awesome at one time.  I remembered when they catered to Top 40, Soft Rock and Rockin' Oldies.  You made a mistake when you switched to Adult Urban.  I'm not impressed with that "company", that now owns and operates it.  They should've left the Oldies and Contemporary Christian format, alone.  I thought that they were having success with that mix.  Whoever is involved with this station, you've ruined a once wonderful radio station.  Hope your new format will fail and not work out for you.  Please bring back the rockin' Oldies and Alive 106.5 Sunday Night program, Z 106.5.  I liked that presentation better, than I do this "Presentation" they call a radio station.

P.S. I'm still predicting that Jack will do well in Meridian and York.  However, I don't see WZNJ, from Demopolis, doing too well with Adult Urban.

I would have to agree. Ken and the staff, as I've said... are some really great people. They understand what it takes to make some good radio, and they have fun doing it.

And yes, 106.5 sucks.... I heard thats where most of the black programmers from 104.9 delfected to when 104.9 flipped.

Sucks?!? ???  You got that right.  ZNJ isn't the radio station, they once was.

The former announcers from WSLY, did move to ZNJ.

P.S. WZNJ is now a joke.  I have no use for that radio station any longer.  May its current format die a slow and painful death.

Isn't the Jack in York/Meridian a part of the ABC satellite service? I had a chance to hear one in southern Illinois and wasn't that impressed with it. The locally-originated Jacks like ours in Jackson is better.

Yes, they run the ABC Sat feed, but they have plenty of local stuff outside the morning show, they are always doing remotes........ and in general, having a great time.

I've seen the website, looks great........I like the staff's sense of humor too.

guys, thank you so much for the intrest in 104.9 JACK FM.
all the great comments just blow me away. all of us here
work hard to make the station the best that it can be.
alot of consultants, jack "know it alls", and others don't
agree with our 104.9 JACK FM, but we rock on! AND WILL!
again, thanks... by the way, goldenboy, email me, and you
can swing by the studio, perhaps hang out on the morning
show... rather than you just riding over to listen, come on
by!

Ken

PS... don't be mean, the guys at ZNJ are doing the best
they can, with what they have.

Ken:

The comments are only the truth. When someone works as hard as you do and puts out great radio, they coments are well deserved.
