In his touching but wonderfully wacky farewell, retiring meteorologist Danny Treanor thanked WKMG-Channel 6 and his colleagues there.

“What a pleasure it has been to work here at Channel 6,” Treanor said as the 11 p.m. Sunday news concluded.


He praised the people and “atmosphere of kindness and heart” at the CBS affiliate.

Anchor Erik von Ancken tried to keep the focus on Treanor and noted that the meteorologist had started in Orlando in 1978.
