In for Howie, I'iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiim Michael Graham

tweet via @bostonradio
>>For 'toxic talk' lovers, former NewsTalk 96.9 afternooner Michael Graham is filling in for Howie Carr on 680 from 3 to 7pm tomorrow(1/17).

Note that Graham has done fill ins for the 10p-1a slot on Philly's Big Talker WPHT 1210 the past
couple nights

Good deal - especially since Thursday isn't a national holiday... Will we be hearing Graham on Monday, as well?

Don't know. Not sure why Howie's off but I think 1/17 is his birthday. He never took his bday
off before...or are we talking extra long weekend (if so maybe McPhee does Fri?)

yes and he will be on tomorrow. Thought he said today he's going to NYC for business (movie
deal, who knows what). No trip, as he'll be in the area doing a joint booksigning w Scott Brown etc

Howie went out of his way to mention that the NY trip had nothing to do with his birthday. Howie even had Michaelgraham come on his show after yesterday's chump line, just in case nobody knew who he is.

Geez Graham slow down you talk too fast you're trying to be funny you're making jokes about the height of the chair you're....

Boston needs another talk station. A top 20 market should have at least a couple talk outlets. It would be nice if a second station would pick up some of the national talk shows that we don't have in Boston. I've never been a fan of local talk, I like the national shows. WRKO has Rush, Mark Levin, and Coast to Coast, but big national shows like Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Laura Ingram, Bill Cunningham, and many others don't have an affiliate in Boston. I miss Talk 1200.

WRKO, WBUR, and WGBH is enough for me. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see CBS flip one of its stations to WBZ-FM and go all talk. How about BZ-FM, The Buzz? (I know the Sports Hub has those calls, but they don't need them).

Graham a bit too hyper. He slowed slightly a bit
later. Anyway we could use a second all talker
with local and national but it has to make $ and
where does it wind up? FM most likely no changes
unless 101.7 bombs and CC tries again, still
quite unlikely. Well it'd reach within 128...

What if Cumulus bought 104.9 (if they did it would
prob be fot music) or 1570--but again it's just part
of the market. Some AMs like 590 or 1260? Again
it's unlikely...though try getting stations from
Worc. or NH or Portland or the Cape across the water or RI..or sat radio or smartphone apps
Or streaming

Bill Cunningham has a "big national show" ? I am surprised his is still doing his Sunday night show after he started doing a daytime trash TV show. Although I assume he only spends one day a week taping a weeks worth of that junk. So much for the moral decay of society he regularly bangs on about.

Michael Graham is awesome!!!!! Thank GOODNESS THEY DIDNT HAVE MICHELLE MCSCREAMER ON TODAY!!!!!! They saved themselves from dropping a few tenths of a point in the ratings by not having Mcscreamer on.......

Apparently he's a regular guest on an Irish talk show. The station's description is below

Michael Graham – Monday 5.30pm
He’s loud; he’s opinionated and is the American talk show host our listeners love to hate. Michael Graham joins George live from Boston every Monday at 5.30pm where they discuss the stories making the headlines on both sides of the Atlantic.
