Tucked away in the more than 5,000-page long Covid-19 stimulus bill is a new law that severely punishes streamers that pirate large amounts of copyrighted content.

The measure only applies to big, for-profit operations streaming terabytes of copyrighted content. The government isn't interested in going after the average Joe who wants to watch the big fight without paying $50 for PPV and finds a streaming site in Scandinavia to see it.
