Apparently IRM is in the process of acquiring KYCT 92.7 Shasta Lake per an FCC filing on 4/29/2021. The station was carrying a classic country music format at one time but never streamed. As a class A, it was running just 285 watts ERP from a South Fork Mountain site. The (fire) sale price was just $60,000. Redding is a heavily over-radio'd market for certain.

At least one station in the Redding market is going away soon... "Franken FM" KNNN-LP , marketed as "Hella Radio", on 87.75 will be facing the mandatory digital cutover TV deadline. For now, you can still hear KNNN-LP on the internet at : http://ice10.securenetsystems.net/KNNN

KYCT continues to operate with a heavy load of local advertising for Redding-area businesses. . 92.7 still brands itself as "The Outlaw"

Several of the Ind Rock Media signals are now streamed at indrockmedia.com:8000
Stream 6 is the KRAC/KBLF one where the Hunters (the owners) host the morning show. Not all the streams such as KYCT are present yet.

KYCT 92.7 Lake Shasta-Redding now carries the Cal Hunter's "Morning Show" in parallel with KRAC and KBLF. I suppose the rest of the time KYCT "The Outlaw" continues carrying country music.

Red Bluff related .. I saw a KRCR-TV story about the Papini kidnapping and the negative impact it had on stereotyping Hispanic women. The reporter interviewed Araceli Gutierrez of Red Bluff - she runs a "bilingual radio station." It turns out the "radio station" is online-only service called "Stereo Salvage" (http://stereosalvaje.com) . A check of their Shoutscast server this afternoon showed 40 listeners on line.
Darn it but "streaming internet audio" is not radio. There's no RF involved unless you're on a cellphone.

So perhaps Independence Media could spin off one of their local properties to these folks?
