Some minor clarifications to the call letters:

92.7 = WQBU, Garden City, NY not WQKQ, Carthage, IL
93.3 = WMMR, Philadelphia, PA not WWMR, Saltillo, MS
105.5 = WDHA, Dover, NJ not WHDA-LP, Ann Arbor, MI

(unless, of course, you were receiving great DX/skip/tropo! ;) ;D)

Also, regarding some of the stations where HD currently isn't broadcast (marked with a "?"):

93.1, 96.3, 97.9, 99.5 & 107.5 out of NYC have pretty much never broadcast in HD (except for a few "tests" on 93.1 & 97.9) & 96.3 has also never had RDS. 105.9 does have HD1 & HD2, but the main signal is weak to begin with, making the HD signals weaker & harder to receive. (As mentioned on previous threads, classical music fans take note, being as the frequency swap from 96.3 to 105.9 should happen within the next few months once the transaction between The New York Times, Univision & WNYC Organization closes.)

Great detailed list! I live near White Plains, NY & was thinking about picking up one of these radios. The only drawback for me personally (being a sports fan + listening to Knicks/Rangers play-by-play) is not being able to get WEPN-AM-1050 New York (ESPN Radio) on the FM-HD band; hopefully ESPN will obtain a NYC FM frequency to simulcast/broadcast the current 1050 AM programming. Also a downer for me to a lesser extent, not having WOR-AM-710 & WBBR-AM-1130 New York on FM-HD. Otherwise it's got mostly everything I'd look for, provided that the HD3 signal reception is strong enough to receive in most places, especially while traveling on public tranportation above ground, allowing for a few expected dropouts as would happen on any good walkman.

What sort of antenna setup did you plug into the earphone jack, and how?

(I'm not being facetious - I've got one of the these radios and am getting fairly excellent results, but that's with a splitter running out of the top so that I can use one of the leads as a sort-of-directional antenna, and I'm sure there's a better way to do that...)

Re: Insigna's New HD portable Walkman Reception Report Old Greenwich CT cool Res

I used just regular Sony MDR-G757G headphones. they were always good for my old walkmens especially getting rid of 96.7 overload on 92.3 (when it was k-rock). I would encourage any radio enthusiast to pick this portable walkmen up

$53 if you are in CT... I found it in Portsmith NH in the only available store to have it in New England! its on a 2 week back order
