Installation of Satellite Radios in Multifamily Units Draw Buyers

Boy, Satellite Radio has some really smart marketers - think what this will do to HD Radio, if it catches on !

http://www.multi-housingnews.com/mu...article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1002985663

It will probably do nothing. The HD radio in my car has both satellite and HD radio, and I listen to both. In fact, I bet these people will be more inclined to buy HD radio, especially since they're tech-savvy.

Yea, cool thing, they get a year's subscription free ! Great marketing tool - the HD Radio Cartel should be so smart !

HD Radio is still free after the first year! Sounds smart to me...

Yea, and full of redundant terrestrial radio garbage and commercials !

So If I spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on one of these condos I get the equivelant of a 1-year magazine subscription?

And will my reciever be able to see their sat in any room in my new pad?

It's a marketing thing - rather good idea, I think ! So, what is HD Radio doing - "Discover It !" What freak'in joke !

but what if my condo is on the north facing side?

Will my neighbors accross the hall let me run my satellite antenna into their unit so I can get my MTV(radio)?

That doesn't matter where it faces - a sure cry from having to mount a 7-foot dipole antenna outside !

Sure it matters.....when I had satellite radio I had to put the thing in a south facing window for it to work!

In an apartment/Condo situation you don't always have south facing windows to allow for satellite reception.

My dipole works satisfactory indoors, I chose an outside antenna so I could "Digital DX" with confidence.

Digital DX is an oxymoron ! I rotated the Satellie radio in RS and it made no difference - at least it doesn't require a 7-foot dipole antenna ! :D

Neither does the BA. But you never let truth get in the way of your fantasies. Don't you have something to do at school...oops...I meant "CIA".

This is really getting old - check their website. I believe a reference to this was already posted. What are you getting out of this nonsense ?

You're right that it's getting old. They offer a seven foot dipole, but it is ABSOLUTELY NOT NECESSARY to use the radio. I own two, neither need to dipole to get ALL OF THE HD SIGNALS IN THE MARKET. I also listen in a fringe area.

I own the radio - you've supposedly tried one once inside of a store for 30 seconds. So who do you think can make an accurate representation?

Not you.

So once and for all: They offer the antenna for convenience. You do not need it to use the radio. I have proof, you don't.

The truth will seet you free. Unfortunately, you wouldn't know the truth if it smacked you in the face. The upside is all of us here know that.

Funny, even anti-IBOC people are begging you to stop. Your angry, emotinal, hate-filled posts have been, by your own admission, been meant to mislead and deceive. I feel sorry for you if this is all your life is about.

I know what I'd like to do with the B.A. 7 foot dipole but I don't know where SayNo/Supercaster (Your keyboard does have a caps lock which when pressed will alow lowercase letters to be typed..STOP YELLING!!!) lives.

This is exactly what we've been trying to do !

Don't need the dipole antenna, hugh ?

Gotcha ! :D

It doesn't prove you need it. Maybe you do, maybe you don't. It depends where you're listening from. For you to say that you "need a 7 foot dipole to use the radio" is meant to be misleading. The truth is you might need a bigger antenna. Maybe not even a 7 foot dipole! Of course, that would kill what seems to be the talking point of the month.

Gotcha back! :D
