Installation of Satellite Radios in Multifamily Units Draw Buyers

I am going to check but I believe the Dipole provided with the receptor is nothing more than a 5/8's wave antenna. I will check the element length to confirm that. It's really no big deal. All a ferrite loop (inside most radios) is, is a length of wire wound around a piece of ferric material with a tuning circuit. My FM tuner came with a dipole too. Without it, I receive no stations and even with the dipole the reception isn't all that great and so I use a real FM antenna in my attic. The netire dipole discussion is silly and desperate.

This is exactly what we've been trying to do !

Don't need the dipole antenna, hugh ?

Gotcha ! :D

LOOK DUDE, YOU DONT NEED THAT, LOOK AT XM, THEY REQUIRE YOU TO HAVE A SOUTH POINTED WINDOW TO GET THE BEST RECEPTION, AND THEY EVEN REQUIRE YOU TO PUT THE ANTENNA OUTSIDE, WHO IS GOING TO PAY 50$ MORE FOR A LONGER ANTENNA WIRE AND THEN RUN IT ON THE ROOF? THATS A BUNCH OF SH** I THINK.

That is ridiculous - the Sirius Satellite radio at RS had no antenna, and I picked it up, turned it around with no reception problems. Doesn't matter, I have no interest in getting a Satellite, or HD Radio radio. The Receptor HD radio at Best Buy could only get two FM stations, with the attached long-wire antenna - the analog AM/FM boom-boxes, with their internal ferrite-bar antennas (as with my PLL AM/FM radio) picked up MANY stations.

You have been reported to the moderators, for threatening bodily harm.

Somebody call the waaaaaaaaaaaambulance!

That's what you get for disagreeing with SayNo. He reports you to the mods at every turn, to try and get you banned. Yet it's OK for him to lie and call people names.

Just another example of SayNo talking out of both sides of his mouth. I bet his mouse is wearing out due to over use of the "report" link on this board!

Reported to the moderators and bodily harm?
You are the one who drew wrong conclusions to comments I made. You sir are an idiot and paranoid as well! Sorry for the perceived personal attack but you reap what you sew. I think I know now why you don't care for HD. Digital radio is composed of zeros and ones and you sir are just a big Zero. Hey, you've ruined this board. Too bad, but on the other hand you haven't changed anyones opinion of HD radio with your show of heavy handed ignorance. So where you could be out promoting your anti IBOC adgenda you are instead in here spouting nonsense and acting like a side show where knowledgeable people can laugh at you.

I was going to mention that to SayLiesAboutIBOC. Generally the stores will either have a repeater, or an outdoor sat antenna fed to a distribution amp.

The more you know...

failed technology (Kahn)/fraudulent "technology (SayNo).

(Khan) “7/16/2006
YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST.
The buzz joins WABC.
Check iBOC noise +/- 30 kHz from 770 kHz”

(I.B. Iquity) Funny, I have no trouble hearing WLAD (800Khz) on my analogue radio and I am in northern New Jersey. I don’t hear any trace of WABC. In my area 790 isn’t audible and the station at 740 (The only station that can be heard between 710 and 770 in my region) has no trace of IBOC.
(More Kahn & KHNC.) Several months ago, we started to receive listener complaints at our studio in Johnstown, Colorado about our 1360 radio signal being overcome with a loud buzz in areas in Denver. We asked our engineer and he told us that radio station KCFR 1340 AM, a Colorado public radio station, had gone to a digitized broadcasting system. Their type of digital system buzzes out near-by frequencies like our 1360 AM.

We called the engineer of KCFR to complain about their new digital system and how it was buzzing out our radio signal, 1360 AM, in large places in Denver. His response was I cannot help you and he told us then there was nothing that we could do about it.
(I.B, Iquity) KHNC is NOT a Denver station and is not protected within the Denver market. So much misinformation. The desperation sounds all too familiar.
