Interesting DX from Issaquah WA (13 mi E of Seattle

KNCO 830 Grass Valley CA (west of Reno) 5,000 watts
KGRV Winston Oregon 470 watts

Used my Sangean DT200X

I wonder if Crainbebo who is also in Seattle area had similar observations Friday night. Sounds like Auroral conditions where signals from the south were enhanced while signals from other directions were attenuated.

I live in Western WA, and KNCO is audible most nights on 830 khz., coming in on a N-S bearing, and it generally pokes through the KGNW-820 splash reasonably well. Some nights KNCO is stronger than on others. CKKY, Wainwright, AB often is strong on 830 on the E-W bearing.

KGRV is usually present on 700 khz., although depending on where you are in the Seattle-Tacoma area, KIRO's splash can cover it or interfere with it. During the spring and summer I didn't hear KGRV much, but this Fall and Winter KGRV has been in there most nights.

I've also heard KXLX (ESPN Spokane) on 700 khz., although it was mostly clobbered by KIRO.

KGRV is common, KXLX to the East. Where are you WLW?
KNCO is common to the S, but CKKY can mess it up. I caught WCCO on 12/30 out in Monroe. 8-3-0 jingle heard.
I made a monster log the other day, and I'll post that in a bit!
