Is this radio too sensitive, or is it a radio malfunction,, I just bought a new grundig s350 DL, and was getting alot of noise on wbwb B-97 when I moved the antenna to try and get it better it Nulled, and I heard a comercial talking about a PA flea Market,, I left the antenna in this postion long enough to get an I.D and they said Beaver Country 96.7. This radio is so sensitive, but yet not selective,, I cant get I94 in martinsville due to local Country Gospel on 94.1 MY JOY,,, but I can get 96 STO,,, COUGH I mean Hot 96,,, Showing my age hear,, and I can get WCBH 104.3,,, 98.5 from paris Illinois, and Country Legends 99.1,, all these signals are always there day and night so far, but they fade in and out,,, Also out on the back deck the day before yesterday I picked up KSZL Z-107.7 in Saint Louis,, signal very weak, but i checked in my car,, and it was all hash.

Good catch on the portable...that's a 45KW station known as Beaver Country and it's south of Bowling Green near the TN line.

There's also a Beaver County in the Pittsburgh area, which might make a bit more sense because there was a PA flea market advertising on the station. ???

That does muddy the waters, but there's a class B on 96.9 that's less than 30 miles from Beaver County,PA, effectively eliminating any chance of a 96.7 there. But...if Beaver Country 96.7 from Bowling Green and 96.9 from greater Pittsburgh were both involved (that's not too much of a stretch), I could see how Beaver Country 96.7 and a spot for a PA flea market(possibly in Beaver County) could come out of the same speaker during the same session. What a wild coincidence that would be! Sounds like the ground wave was way up in at least 2 directions...not uncommon at this time of year.
