Ion and Bounce to air the Scripps National Spelling Bee in 2022

It will go from having some viewers to still having some viewers. Those that cut the cord and disconnected the dish (like my family). Cable and satellite keep losing subscribers every year, people can't afford the high rates and the mediocre 'reality' programming, 12-hour marathons of Law & Order, cable news skewing one way or the other, or ten-year-old movies edited, chopped, and with an hour of commercials mixed in.

This last Saturday, I was visiting family and could watch one of nearly ten college football games over the air. Three on ABC, Notre Dame on NBC, at least one SEC game on CBS, two on Fox, and two on SWX (regional network in eastern WA and Montana). Plus highlights in between games of those that were airing on ESPN/ESPN2/FS1. Best of all - it's FREEEEEE!
Yakima just added TheGrio TV, Buzzr, and brought ThisTV back to OTA which had been pulled off the Fox station a few years back for Telemundo if I recall. My relatives get those, and MeTV, H&I, StartTV, Dabl, Cozi TV, Charge!, and Comet, plus World and Create on the PBS. More than enough entertainment without the $150 cable or DIRECTV bills.
We don't get Bounce, Antenna TV, Movies!, Grit, Laff, or Decades. I wish Antenna TV would get carriage locally as they carry Johnny Carson reruns.
