Hi I run woga internet radio someone said IRN usa news was a free news service it can be played from the internet.I have emailed them two time about playing there news on my station. But I get no reply.Does anyone know if this news service can be use for free?please let me know, thank you Bobby [email protected]

Bobby,

My Internet station has recently affiliated with IRN/USA. We have it on a barter basis.
That means that we run all of their ads intact during the news, which in effect pays
for the service.

My contact there was Tim Maddoux. It did take a little time to receive my FTP password
to retrieve the newscasts. And, there uis a little paperwork involved, which you can mostly
file electronically.

Hi Alan,
Thank you for your post.It may help me alot.
I did not think you could run ads of any kind on any internet radio station.Only on your web site.I have some people that would like me to run ads on my station but I said no.So if you can run ads, please let me know so I could run ads to help pay some of the cost of running our station. You said you had to get password to run IRN usa news But I can run the news from there web site without password. Please post back so I will know what to do.Thank you again. Hi Bobby,

If you are broadcasting on Live365, you have to be a PRO station to run ads. If you aren't PRO,
it's harder to get a news service that's free of any ads.

The IRN/USA password-protected site gives access to other features including sports
and the shorter newsbreak(2 min).

The news-on-demand on the IRN page will work, but sometimes is not updated.

I ran my station as a "hobby" station for 7 years. Finally decided, if it's going to take so much
time, money and energy I might as well sell a few ads. Result: It's almost breaking even.

Bobby,

I saw that you are on sw-cast for streaming. You will probably need to read through their terms of service
to see what you can do. They may have something similar to Live's PRO plan that would allow you to
run the news.

I like having the news during the Sunday Night Gospel Sing especially. It's nice to have even
a 3 or 4 minute break since during that show I have to manually enter all the artist-track-album info
into the system. Plus the show is live and is done from records, tapes, CDs and such.
