I just saw a promo for them on ABC 33/40. When did they decide to target T-Town instead of Meridian?

They might as well target New York since that signal is only good for broadcasting to cows and boll weevils.
 
Since moving their tower, from Faunsdale (Marengo County) to Marion (Perry County), about a year ago. 

Their signal still comes in very good, here in Selma, although they're not the 50,000 watt blowtourch they once were.

Oh, they moved. It makes more sense now, because the old site definitely didn't put anything listenable over Tuscaloosa (and wasn't the best in Meridian proper, either). I'm surprised they stayed with country seeing as how the market already has two country stations and four or five more from other markets that come in fine there.
 
If I remember correctly, the emphasis on Catfish Country (ugh) is more classic than modern country music. I listened here and there on my commute to work from Helena to Trussville; the signal was marginal but listenable to about US 280 on a good day.

FWIW the signal ain't that hot in T-Town but they seem to be real active in the area with remotes and ads...
 
You can turn that around. Since you left, the Classics are few and far between. The Currents are getting more play.

Since they have signal issues, in T-town, they should relocate everything to Marion and become their new radio station. 

I say this because WJUS 1310 AM is moving to Selma.

OK---the $64,000 question is, why would they want to move to Marion? Sadly, the only reasons that Marion exists are Judson College (my mom's alma mater :) ) and Marion Institute (my dad went there :) ) Without those institutions, the town would totally dry up. It seems to me that being a weak rim-shot in a metro area of 200,000 makes a lot more sense than being the only game in town in a county with 11,000 people.
