is "hair on fire" supposed to be a **RADIO** sign??

How is someone supposed to know what that sign's about if the print's so small and all you can see is "Hair On Fire" and really big pictures of two people? Who are they? The show's hosts? McNeil and Lehrer? And what radio station is that supposed to be? I'm going to presume by process of elimination it's not KTAR or KFYI or even KKNT because I can't imagine anyone entrusted with radio promotion and publicity who would be executing such a terribly confusing campaign - if that's what it's supposed to be. If the person behind the ads is reading this, yes, I'm calling you an idiot - criminy. What an eyesore, and you can't even tell what the signs are "pro" or "anti" or what the point of them is. You could have fed the entire city of Joplin, Missouri with the money you blew on those stupid signs. Seriously. What an idiot.

Most of metro Phoenix. Tucked in between the campaign signs. Definitely not a campaign sign, but seemingly a radio tie-in to the Phoenix City Council elections? One of the ballot propositions? I have no (bleep) clue what radio or radio station the signs are promoting.

Google "hair on fire" and among the results is a talk show on --

I don't need Google to hear the words "hair on fire" and think of Michael Jackson and 80's Pepsi commercials. If Google's necessary to figure out what a sign's promoting, it goes without saying the signs failed to deliver their message. This thread's probably the only way anyone would know those signs were for a RADIO SHOW. Which I'm putting in past tense for obvious reasons.

48th St. & Ray Rd. on the NW corner by the Target is one. I thought it was a bizarre campaign slogan by someone running for Mayor.

In terms of frustration, I'm on the same page as indieradioguy when it comes to worthless advertising. It's amazing what crap advertisers buy and then wonder why their product didn't reach their potential audience.
On a related issue, I'm also wondering if Merlin Media is buying news on radio-info.com. Every freakin' day there is a story of what Merlin Media, headed by the sole guy responsible for destroying radio as we knew it, Randy Michaels, is doing. Tribune didn't fire Benny aka Randy Michaels recently because he was so good. They learned the hard way about him. I understand about responding to press releases, but this board needs to remember who is releasing them.

Just for saying that Mister Laugh, Randy Michaels and company over at Merlin Media will now buy an FM station in Phoenix and stunt with all female news/talk radio. Be afraid KTAR, be very afraid! ;D

seen the signs.

If they are not campaign signs, they are illegal, and the persons responsible for them are liable for 1,000 bucks per sign.

Typical for 1100, crap shows, sold to the morons who pay for hour. Same goes for 960's terrible shows...Rudy K, High Noon, the tea party guy. Bad shows, no callers, just the host reading from scripts...zzzzz
