Is Hip Hop/R&B about to "Beat it" from KKBT 100.3/Los Angeles?

That's the buzz from All Access. Our Hip Hop/R&B fan Robert Moore has also posted on the LA board that Spinderella and PJ are out. Is there a buzz for Adult R&B in the "Beat's future"? And wasn't that a prediction for 2006 here on this very board? Hmmm. Stay tuned.
______________

It's about time. Now I'm wondering if that would signal 92.3 to go back to Hip Hop? After all it was the Beat before but we all know about that sale. But I just remembered the Kalle-type stations now in the market and not only that, KDAY.

Problem is, that Radio One will probably put Tom Joyner on it. I'm not sure they can compete with 92.3 Radio One really screwed up this market. What about a FM Gospel? Closest thing to a community/spiritual FM station would be KJLH 102.3? And I couldn't see Radio One doing their new talk format on FM either.

Thing is, Radio One likes to have a R*B or Urban first, then their THIRD choice is Gospel once they have the other two locked. But with how the market is so saturated now, it might not be a bad idea.

I couldn't see Radio One ditching it's Hip-Hop station in LA out of all cities. More than likely if they do, Urban AC is on tap with Joyner in the mornings. I wonder if they have any plans on relaunching a Hip-Hop station in Charlotte,NC since they now have Gospel and UrbanAC.
